  • Dr. Akyildiz was granted a patent with the number 7,058,027 for "Systems and Methods for Asynchronous Transfer Mode and Internet Protocol" in June 2006. The patent is based on the protocol independent error control (TurboLink product) in wireless systems. The original application was submitted to the USPTO in September 1999.
