ECE Patents
Since 1990, ECE faculty members have been granted over 100 patents that have been assigned to the Georgia Tech Research Corporation by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. ECE inventions range from:
- a smart reflection antenna system and method for improving the characteristics of a signal;
- a new analog semiconductor that is being incorporated into mobile communications devices; and
- a method to monitor blood pressure of aneurysm patients.
The patents, listed below by the year issued, have been granted to current ECE faculty holding full-time or joint appointments, as well as former and deceased faculty. Fellow inventors, often including research engineers and graduate students, are also listed.
